Do I need a dental exam before whitening?

Yes. By UK law, whitening gels above 0.1% peroxide require a dental examination. Even if you had an exam elsewhere recently, the prescribing dentist must carry out their own assessment to confirm safety and suitability.

Does teeth whitening damage enamel?
